Project Feasibility and Design

I understand what is required, from the planning stages through to construction, to complete a successful project. My initial training as a municipal engineer was as a designer and builder of municipal infrastructure including roads, bridges, sewers, tunnels, watercourses, storm water management facilities, park developments etc. From there, I went on to manage a construction company to learn first-hand the importance of sound design on the success of a project – one that can be constructed safely, reliably, within budget, and on schedule.

As a consultant, I have been involved in hundreds of different engineering projects all across Ontario and Canada. It is my opinion that, in many cases, insufficient funds are being allocated to the engineering of the projects, including geotechnical investigations. This has resulted in more problems in the field and disputes between the contractor and the engineer and owner.I believe that it is a sound investment for an owner to commission comprehensive designs from engineers truly experienced in their field. I am available to provide my expertise to assist in providing quality designs of underground projects.
