Unfortunately, many disputes are not resolved between the parties themselves and litigation is the only option available if one of the parties seeks to exercise their rights under the contract. This is a very costly and time-consuming exercise for the litigants. Literally, you will spend hundreds of hours preparing documents and educating a lawyer on the fine points of your business so that your lawyer can spend 10 days or so at trial trying to educate a judge in the same manner. I am about as much of an expert in construction law as there can be without being a practicing lawyer. I am very familiar with the procedures and the documents required to satisfy the court as to the validity of your claim.
